Our regular, second Tuesday Monthly Zoom Meeting began at noon.

This month we welcomed Commissioner Staci Rubin, Esq., MPH, MELP. Rubin, Commissioner to the Department of Public Utilities, answered questions from our members, kicked off by these questions:

How is the DPU managing the transition off gas?
How will the new climate law impact DPU’s regulatory authority?
How can we most effectively help customers pay bills for the increasing amount of electricity they will be consuming in a way that incentivizes decarbonization and at the same time ensures that lower income residents can afford to pay their bills?

More questions were added from the audience, followed by some excllent discussions. There was a lot to learn at this meeting.
