The planet is frying. That’s why, on September 17, we’re joining with others in the March to End Fossil Fuels in New York City. This action is planned to amplify the September 20 UN Climate Ambition Summit in New York, and make demands on our executive branch to quickly phase out all dependence on fossil fuels. We must let our government, media, and the world know that we are serious about preserving a tomorrow. ECA Mass and other climate change groups in New England will be doing everything we can to help publicize the march and get as many people to New York as possible.

Fossil fuel pollution harms our health, our families, and our lives. It’s never been clearer than this summer, with wildfires and heatwaves choking us – fossil fuels are driving the climate crisis, and the impacts are getting worse and worse.

But we’re coming together to fight for something better: a future free of fossil fuels, powered by just and resilient clean energy, with good jobs, clean air and water, and a healthy planet for all.

Join us at the march! This will be the largest climate march since the pandemic; thousands will take to the streets to demand President Biden take bold action to #EndFossilFuels.

Join the Elder Hub in preparation for the March to End Fossil Fuels and we will make sure you have all the info you need to know to meet up with other elders at the event. Elders Climate Action is coordinating with other groups including Radical Elders, Th!rd Act, 1000 Grandmothers for Future Generations, Long Beach Gray Panthers, and more to ensure a strong presence at the March! Click here to join us at the Elder Hub.

We have options for going there as a group, with our “accomplices” in 350 Mass, MCAN, Mothers Out Front and friends on buses or on the train. Join Maiyim, Seth and other ECAers on the bus from Boston or Brookline.

How to get there:

Several bus options will be available, leaving the Boston area around 6-7 am and arriving around noon. Return buses will leave New York late afternoon and arrive in the Boston area around 11 pm-12 midnight. The cost will be $35 – $70. Buses will be leaving from Alewife, Park Street, and other locations. Reserve a bus seat here.

A Connecticut River Valley Bus Route (Greenfield, Northampton, Holyoke, Springfield) is being offered now through 350MA. If there are not enough tickets sold (minimum is 45), refunds will be honored (or you can choose to leave from Boston instead if you wish). Please use this EventBrite Form ASAP.

Buses from other areas can be viewed at this page: https://www.endfossilfuels.us/logistics

Alternatively, Amtrak, which has lower emission and is more comfortable, offers seats for less than $100. You would leave Boston at 6:30 am and return at 7:30pm

We want to see YOU there!
